Of course, researchers have a vested interest in tracking the metrics on their own research outputs - from publications to patents to policy briefs to datasets and more! HOWEVER I am not the only one who has been considering metrics and dashboards for research.
One certain Antony J. Williams, better known on social media as ChemConnector, has been playing around with featuring visually appealing metrics summaries on his personal+professional webpage.
In a mashup between "internet of things" #IoT and applet services like IFTTT and Zapier, the internet dashboard Netvibes
uses the term "Dashboard of Things" #DoT. I will let you know if I can make a research dashboard through that service. So far, no luck.Anyway, here's the dapper fellow:
